FancyRoute Software

There is no installation required.

1. Start the executable
2. Confirm EULA
3. Press F1 for further instructions

Tip: Windows SmartScreen might prevent the application from starting because it is not signed by Microsoft. If this is the case you have two options.
Option1: If the blue SmartScreen pops up press ‘More Info’, then press the button labeled ‘Run anyway’.
Option2: In File Explorer, right click the executable, then select ‘Properties’ from the pop-up menu. In the properties dialog, at the very bottom, check ‘Unblock’, then press ‘OK’. Now you can start the executable.

FancyRoute for Windows (64bit)

This is the recommended version for Windows. It handles maps up to 256 TB size.

Use this version under Linux wine.

FancyRoute Maps

FancyRoute can handle maps of the Garmin map format. Find here some precompiled maps ready to be used in FancyRoute. All precompiled maps presented here are based on OpenStreetMap (OSM) data.

1. Download the map file to a local directory.
2. Start FancyRoute
3. Drag and drop the file into FancyRoute.

Consider these map downloads as examples. More and newer precompiled maps can be found on the download pages of OpenStreetMap.

Berlin
